Adoption Process

Ragdoll kittens cost $2,800.

Step 1

Whether you're ready to begin the adoption process or have a few questions, please complete the interest form on our contact page.

Step 2

We will contact you about the adoption process, and interested families will be placed on a list. Since it is not possible to ascertain litter size in advance, you will be given an approximate timeframe on when you might receive a kitten.

Step 3

Around 3-4 weeks after a new litter has arrived, the number of people on the interest list matching the number of kittens available in the litter will be contacted with their number in the kitten selection lineup.

Step 4

The families in line to adopt a kitten will sign a Health Agreement and Purchasing Contract (see sample PDF below) and send the $500 non-refundable deposit per kitten using Zelle, Venmo, money order, or cash. Placing the deposit and signing the contract will secure your spot for an available kitten. Please note that True Blue Ragdolls reserves the right to revoke the sale of a kitten, at any time, for any reason, and will timely return the deposit to the purchaser, less any applicable fees incurred by True Blue, if paid through PayPal.

Step 5

As the kittens are developing, we will post pictures and videos on True Blue Ragdoll's Instagram for families to enjoy the process.

Step 6

Around 6-8 weeks, we will ask each family (in order of selection) to choose their kitten.

Step 7

As the kittens continue to grow and enjoy their mama, families should prepare for their new kitten by purchasing necessary items, researching a good vet, and scheduling a new kitten appointment within the first 72 hours of pickup. Step 8

Between 8-10 weeks of age, kittens will be picked up by their new families. The remaining balance is due at this time using Venmo, Zelle, money order, or cash. You will want to bring some sort of carrier for the car ride home. Additional information, including a current vaccination record, other kitten care paperwork, and a goodie bag, will be provided.
